Vincennes 2020/01

First, unforeseen visit to the Chateau de Vincennes, a city close to Paris.

This fortified castle, royal residence, was erected from the 14th century on the site of a hunting lodge dating from the Middle Ages.

The visit focuses on the Gothic-style Sainte-Chapelle and the 52-meter high dungeon built to shelter the kings of France in case of danger.

Large central courtyard surrounded by administrative and military buildings.

The Sainte-Chapelle preserved relics of the passion of Christ.
